Qubec is venerated by around a million lakes. The valley of Lake Memphremagog is the largest in the region. This international lake, international because it spans the Canadian-American border, has a surface of 103 km sq. Qubecers say there's a monster in the lake, although the serene site doesn't suggest so.

With the onset of fall, Maple trees start changing their colour
A fellow Canadian colleague (Dominic) drove a few of us to the lake and the
Abbey of St. Benedict located on the shores of the Lake. The monks there make a living by selling cheese and apple products. Apparently, there is an apple orchard at the Abbey and we were fortunate to get a taste of fresh apples from the country.

Church at the Abbey- It used to be a wooden structure untill it was burnt down and followed by donations, which helped erect a new church.
